Media screens in our reception areas and throughout our offices are meant to inform and inspire both visitors and employees.
Quantcast is beginning to evolve our program for media, and will be working to develop a plan for more varied and rich content related to the company.
Our goal is to have all media controlled and updatable from one central system, so there is less pressure on individual offices to setup and maintain the media on their displays.
In some offices, artists have been commissioned to create murals and/or animated artwork specifically for that location.
Artists are briefed on an idea or concept that relates to the vision and values of the company, are given the branded environment color palette to start with, and are then given freedom to do their work.
SF Media Wall
In the new San Francisco office, Melbourne-based artist Ellen Porteus was commissioned and briefed by JaegerSloan to create a mural and animations to cover a massive wall just to the right of reception, outside of one of the main board rooms.
The animations live on Electric Objects screens, and the mural was applied as a vinyl wallpaper to increase speed, accuracy and financial efficiency.
Future commissions could involve time-lapsing a live artist creating their mural, or documenting the creation in another way to help give employees and the outside world a closer look at why and how the art was made.
